Marcy, the Owner
Hello, this is Marcy Barbour and I own Case by Case Pet Services. I have been caring for animals for over 40 years, and professionally since 2000. I started out my business as Dogs on the Run and in 2005 purchased Case by Case Pet Services and combined the businesses together.
Animals have always been the best part of my life. I have had the privileged of sharing my life with 2 horses (Aslikan an Arabian Mare that I owned when I lived in Turkey and Bud a wild horse I got when I was working at the Ponderosa Ranch – Bonanza TV Show in Nevada), and one cow named of all things Star. Dogs that have graced my life with love are Coquette (my first toy poodle), Dusty (rescue collie), Tiffy (toy poodle and heart dog), Gidget (toy poodle), Nikia (Chow-Chow), Suisuin (Chow-Chow), Brisbane (1st Australian Shepherd), Sassy (toy poodle and greatest gift ever), Kiama, Kimba, Lissa, Bindi, Tazz, and Rumba (all my show Aussies) and last but not least Ziva (my newest toy poodle).
I have worked with all types of stock on my grandfather’s farm, attended Meredith Manor (a horsemanship school) where I received my Associate Degree as a Riding Blacksmith, attended the Red Cross Pet First Aid and CPR course, and am currently enrolled in the Pet Sitters International Certification course for Pet Sitting Professionals.
A longtime resident of Washington (since 1967), I have worked as an Air Traffic Controller while in the Air Force, taught Cisco courses at the local college, raise, bred, and shown my Australian Shepherds, and had the opportunity to swim with dolphins. Swimming with the dolphins was an experience of a lifetime and one of my lifetime dreams since I was a child.
I look forward to caring for your family of pets and having you become a part of our family as well.
Hi. My name is Sarah Faye and I am Marcy Barbour’s daughter. I have been caring for pets all my life as they have always been a part of my world. I was raised with dogs and had friends with every sort of animal you could imagine. I began taking care of my neighbor’s pets when I was 6 years old and I share my Mom’s philosophy that our pets are part of our family and each pet I care for, whether my own or a client’s, is a part of mine. I love and respect every animal I encounter.
Outside of the privilege of taking care of your furry companions, I am a Registered Nurse. I pride myself in being caring, compassionate and trustworthy person. I spend time with my husband of 8 years hiking, walking, reading, and enjoying life with family and friends.
My husband and I have an Australian Shepherd, Mia who is our world. When I am not at the hospital or caring for other’s pets, I can be found playing Frisbee with her, walking with her, or just enjoying a good snuggle.
I look forward to adding your pets to my family as well and giving you the best service possible!
From an early age I had a special bond with my pets. Growing up I raised numerous cats and dogs whose names were Midnight, Blitzen, Roscoe, Micky, Prissy, Casper, Kit Kat, Tui are some of the names of the dogs and cat companions I have raised and cared for over the years. My current cat(Casper) is 21 years old and continues to run the household. Our dog is 16 ½ years old and was only expected to live 7 years.
Once I rescued a full-grown goat who was being harassed by kids on the street. I managed to coax the goat into my van and returned him safely to his owner.
Case by Case Pet Services has provided me with an opportunity to connect with pets and their owners in the same type of relationship I have with my pets. I look forward to meeting new pets and their owners who care for their well-being.
The image you see behind me is that of the Great Ocean Road in Australia! I love nature and all the gifts she brings to us. The plants, the elements, and, of course the beautiful creatures. Growing up with three brothers brought a menagerie of animals; dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, fish and assorted reptiles. I was midwife to one of our mama cat’s birth process, fed and played with all our beloved pets. Animals of all kinds seem to be drawn to me, whether they were my own or someone else’s.
For me, animals are beings that have personalities, characters and thus require individual consideration and attention. One of my favorite things is interacting with animals, and getting to know them in their environments. The major element that drew me to joining the Case by Case family, is the shared philosophy that animals are “people” too. They deserve the time, attention and respect of being treated as individuals, and getting their needs met. We understand that that we are being invited the intimate sanctuary of your home, and the importance of treating it with the respect that you would as well as providing excellent care and attentive nurturing to your beloved family pets.
I am honored to be of service to you in whatever manner I am able to provide. I look forward to meeting you and developing a wonderful relationship with your pets.
As a child I grew up on a beautiful ranch in Santa Fe, NM with horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats and so many other critters. I’ve always had a great love for animals, especially dogs. When I was a kid I remember feeding the cows, riding horses and playing with all the animals. My father was so great with all the animals. I watched and learned everything I know from him. He would do everything from health care, to training all the animals on the ranch, displaying patience and love for all the animals. It was such a wonderful way to grow up.
Current day, My husband and I have two of our own furry friends. Disco, our amazing dog and Jacks, our lovable feline. These two rule our house. I don’t know what we would do without them! And it doesn’t stop with them. I love all animals and have a special place in my heart for them. I truly enjoy walking, playing and spending time with all my doggy friends. It’s become a tradition with my friends and I to get our dogs together and go hiking, check out the dog parks, anything to let our dogs loose and have some fun.
I feel truly fortunate that I get to spend my days with animals and can’t imagine life without them. I’m very excited and happy to be part of Case By Case Pet Service and grow a long lasting relationship with all our clients and their pets.
I am originally from rural eastern Washington. During my childhood I would stay at my grandparents farm for the summer. My childhood was spent surrounded by various animals including cows, horses, pigs, cats, dogs, and chickens. My farm chores varied from feeding cattle, to taking care of chicks. I love telling the story that I brought a piglet for show and tell in grade school. Clearly animals have been a big part of my life.
All animals are truly unique and man’s best friend. I currently live with a cat named Emmett, and own a miniature pinscher named Annabelle. Both have very unique personalities that keep us on our toes. I take care of both animals on a daily bases, and enjoy playing with them. In my spare time I can be found walking my dog on the Kirkland waterfront, or playing fetch in the dog park.
When I’m not taking care of my pets or yours, I’m working for an Optometrist in Kirkland. I handle running pre screenings for the doctor, and assisting in other needs that patients require. I look forward to building relationships with you and your pets. Your pets needs are my top priority!
